For almost 30 years, Mr. Alpert has practiced family law in Southern and Northern California, representing thousands of clients in a variety of family law issues.
Mr. Alpert has immense experience in all aspects of family law. He has experience and expertise in dealing with the emotional as well as the financial side. Early in his career spent three years working at a domestic violence shelter helping both men and women dealing with abusive partners and the trauma of domestic violence and sexual assault. Shortly thereafter, in 2001, he established his own firm.
Mr. Alpert is known for his reputation of vigorous representation, strategic thinking, and the determination to get results while keeping attorney’s fees at a reasonable cost.
Mr. Alpert handles a variety of cases, from the simplest disputes to high conflict custody cases to multi-million dollar estates.
Mr. Alpert has been in the North State for over twenty years and knows the opposing attorneys and family law judges well enough to be confident at either settlement or litigation.

Mr. Alpert is a Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the California State Bar, after Mr. Alpert passed a rigorous set of requisitions, including passing an additional written bar examination, completion of specialized classes in family law, favorable evaluations by judges and attorneys familiar with his work and reputation, and proof of experience of dealing with many aspects of family law.
Mr. Alpert is also a trained mediator. In order to be an effective mediator, Mr. Alpert attended and completed the 40 hour Family & Divorce Mediation Training with Mosten Guthrie Academy. To further his mediator education, he also took the Advanced Course, too. Feel free to ask Mr. Alpert if mediation may be an option to resolve your family law issues.
